South Dakota federal-only voter registrations by county

New South Dakota laws designate voters as federal-only when they fail to show they're a resident of the state or fail to prove their U.S. citizenship. As of early October, 5,735 people had been registered as federal-only voters, meaning they can vote in federal contests such as congressional races but not in state and local races or ballot questions.
