This bar chart displays the share of children enrolled in one of three child care settings by subsidized child care program for October 2024. Overall, the chart shows that families enrolled in CalWORKs child care are far more likely to enroll their children in home based child care settings, such as family, friend, and neighbor care and licensed family child care homes. Families enrolled in a Title 5 child care program are far more likely to choose licensed child care center settings. The y-axis measures the share of children enrolled in each child care setting.
