Q1 FY21 shows the worst quarterly economic performance since the measurement began

Real GDP had not contracted even when the global financial crisis hit India's domestic economy

Data is pulled from four different national accounts series (1993-94, 1999-00, 2004-05 and 2011-12), as quarterly statistics are not available uniformly across the years. Real GDP at factor cost is considered for the oldest three series.
