Data is based on average home prices in each location, a mortgage with 20% down payment, 25-year amortization, $4,000 annual property taxes and $150 monthly heating.

Mortgage rates used are the average of the five major Canadian banks' 5-year fixed rates. Stress test rates are 2 percentage points higher than respective mortgage rates.
