U.S. films with LGBTQ characters, 2022-2024
Annual study of films from 10 U.S. distributors, most recently with 250 films released in 2024
A bar chart shows the number of films by 10 studios from 2022 to 2024 that had LGBTQ characters. In 2024, out of 250 films analyzed, only 59 had LGBTQ characters. Of 256 films in 2023, 70 had LGBTQ characters. In 2022, 350 films were studied and 100 of those were found to include LGBTQ characters.
