As part of the city's Vision Zero effort to make its streets safer, engineers are recommending improvements to seven locations that were the worst for deadly or injury-producing crashes as well as those involving pedestrians.
A locator map showing five street segments and two intersections around San Diego that had bad crashes in 2023. Two are in the Midway area, two are along El Cajon Boulevard in City Heights, and there are one each in the Miramar area, Sherman Heights and Bay Terraces.
