Private car parking has more than doubled in 20 years

A chart showing the space taken up by residential and private carparking has more than doubled from 1.19 million square metres to more than 3 million square metres between 2002 and 2022. Comparatively, commercial parking floor space has stayed about the same, from 1.6 million square metres to 1.88 million square metres.
