States most affected by border immigration surge
The largest numbers of immigrants who sought asylum during the border surge are in New York, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Utah, all of which have populations that are at least 1% higher than they were in 2020 because of the new migrants.
New York, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Utah were the most affected by immigrants paroled in the country since 2020, each gaining more than 1% of 2020 population from the new arrivals.
