A map that shows the maximum possible prison time abortion providers and others face in states with trigger bans pre-Roe bans or six-week bans in place. The map shows a range of penalties from up to life in prison in Texas to up to one year in Ohio.
For states with multiple bans in place, penalties for trigger bans were given precedence, followed by pre-Roe bans and six-week bans.
