All Colorado ZIP Codes Experience Medical Debt, But Six Are Hit Especially Hard
In six ZIP codes, at least 22.58% of adults had medical debt on their credit reports as of February 2022. In two of them, residents are primarily Hispanic.
ZIP codes 80219 and 80216, in Denver, are among those hardest hit by medical debt: At least 22.58 percent of adults have medical debt in collections there. The same applies to zip codes 81635 and 80459 on the Western Slope, as well as zip codes 81082 and 81054 in the southeast.
