covid-19 death rate in california since november

The rolling two-week average for COVID-19 fatalities soared from 42 per day in mid-November to a peak of more than 540 in early February before starting to decline.

Note: California's death rate spike on Feb. 24 is due to Los Angeles County reporting 806 previously undiscovered deaths from Dec. 3 to Feb. 3 during a review of vitals records.
