What regions are represented in N.H.'s Latino population?

Census data suggests that about 53,000 of New Hampshire's 1.3 million residents identify as Hispanic or Latino. Most of them identify as Puerto Rican, Mexican or Dominican. Hover over the dots below for more details on these and other countries represented in New Hampshire's Latino population.

This chart uses data from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2020 American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates. We calculated the low end of the estimate by subtracting the margin of error for each population group from the Census Bureau's estimate, and did the same for the high end by adding the margin of error. The agency says its estimates for this dataset have a 90% margin of error, meaning that there's a 90% probability that the number of people from each population group lies somewhere between the low and high ends of its estimates. We did not include data from Panama, Nicaragua, Argentina, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Bolivia and Paraguay, because the estimates for these communities were so small.
