Electric vehicle registrations rise rapidly, but still far from Cambodia’s 2030 targets

Despite this rapid growth, progress toward the government’s 2030 targets remains uneven. Electric cars have reached around 35% of their 30,000-unit target, while tricycles stand at about 4% of their 20,000 goal. Motorcycles, however, lag significantly behind, achieving less than 1% of the ambitious 720,000-unit target, highlighting a substantial gap in mass adoption.
