Massive amounts of power generation wait in the wings

Projects proposed to connect to the U.S. electricity grid from as long ago as 2014 are still waiting for federal approval. The five types of projects with the most generating capacity waiting for a green light are battery, gas, solar and wind projects waiting since 2014, and offshore wind projects waiting since 2015.
