A map of the united states with shading shading that indicates the percent of libraries where the board selection type is elected (rather than appointed). The darker the shade the higher the percent elected. The top 10 States with the highest percent elected boards are New Hampshire, Illinois, Vermont, Massachusetts, Idaho, Maine, Michigan, and New York, Arizona, and Oregon.
