Prices for regular unleaded gasoline have fallen significantly across California since peaking in early May. The statewide average price on Monday was $3.63. That's down by about 47 cents from the May 6 peak, and about a nickel per gallon less than a week ago. In some markets, including Fresno and Visalia, the average prices on Monday have dipped below where they were a year ago.
