Socioeconomic Disadvantage as a predictor of Reading Proficiency

Percentage of 3rd graders Meeting or Exceeding Standards on the SBAC ELA test, compared with the percentage of those test takers who are socioeconomically disadvantaged.

Exceptional districts are those in the 95th or higher percentile when ranked by the difference between their actual proficiency rate and the expected proficiency rate based on the district's level of socioeconomic disadvantage. Districts with fewer than 30 test takers are excluded.
