There are 99 seats in the WI Assembly, 46 of which are safely Democratic and 46 of which are safely Republican under the governor's plan. The remaining 7 seats are competitive, and could be won by either party to assign a house majority. The shaded area reflects the range of the vote share between the best and worst performance of Democratic candidates in our sample. The more seats that fall within this range, the more responsive a map is to voter preferences.
