Average number of days for Senate confirmations for Cabinet secretaries and others

The data includes all civilian Senate-confirmed positions except for marshals, U.S. attorneys and judges. Years indicate when the nomination was confirmed by Congress. Nominations that were returned and resubmitted soon after are combined, as are simultaneous nominations to related positions. Data is through Nov. 11, 2024.
