Civil immigration-related court cases

Civil immigration-related matters handled by the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Diego and Imperial counties spiked in 2025 and have continued at an even swifter pace in the first two months of 2026. The vast majority of the cases are habeas corpus petitions.
