Partisan gap by voting

This figure shows the average difference in responses by Democrats and Republicans answering non-COVID-related questions as individuals or as part of a group of voters. A positive difference indicates that people gave responses more favorable to their own party. When voting in a group, people tend to pick answers more friendly to their party positions. This gap is significantly smaller when people answer as decisive individuals, indicating that the difference is not caused by Democrats and Republicans having different beliefs.
