South Philly Stadiums Benefit From PILOTs

All three venues in the South Philadelphia stadium complex make PILOTs, or payments in lieu of taxes, instead of paying regular property taxes. Stadium finance experts say the difference between what they would pay in taxes and the amount they pay in PILOTs is effectively a city taxpayer subsidy to team owners.
