Notes: OASI refers to the Old-Age & Survivors Trust Fund. DI refers to the Disability Insurance Trust Fund. OASDI refers to the Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance program. Under law, a trust fund cannot incur a negative balance. The OASI Trust Fund is projected to be depleted in 2033 while the DI Trust Fund will be exhausted in 2064. Combined, the trust funds would be depleted in 2034. Data for years in which trust funds become depleted set to zero for illustrative purposes. Trust fund ratios at beginning of year are projected to be 0.01 for OASI in 2033, 0.02 for OASDI in 2034, and 0.02 for DI in 2064.
