Updated: Where's heat up on ELD tampering violations?

Alabama and California, the latter not exactly a typical toughest state when it comes to hours enforcement, are new to this list of the top 10 states for overall volume of the new 49 CFR 395.8(e)(2) false logs violation as a result of ELD tampering. Violation counts as are current as of early July. Each state's 2025 HOS-intensity ranking in Overdrive/RigDig's CSA's Data Trail accounting is based on total HOS violations tabulated as a percentage of all violations in 2025, and shown for all 48 contiguous states at this link.
