Three-quarters of Americans favor requiring face masks in public

A new AP-NORC poll finds that a large majority of Americans, including nearly all Democrats and about 6 in 10 Republicans, favor requiring people to wear masks in public when they are around other people.

Results based on interviews with 1,057 U.S. adults conducted July 16–20. The margin of error is ±4.3 percentage points for the full sample.
