Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD plans to tap into its reserves to cover 2025-26 school year budget shortfall

Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD is projecting a $10 million deficit for its 2025-26 school year budget. Officials are considering cuts and tapping into the district's $70 million in reserves to cover the shortfall.

Covering the deficit would deplete the district's reserves to $60 million, or enough to cover 88 operating days. Currently, reserves can fund 103 operating days.
