Places to beat the heat in Fresno

The city of Fresno opens several of its community centers to serve as cooling centers for residents when high temperatures to reach or exceed 105 degrees. Several parks and community centers also have splash parks where children can cool off.

Cooling centers are open from 1 to 7 p.m. on hot days (105 degrees or warmer). Splash parks are open seven days a week through Sept. 26.
