Chart: Figures are estimates and derive from 2022 Population Data, Economic Census Data, 2020 Idaho Sales Tax Revenue, and 2022 Revenue Sharing data. Precise sales tax data is not collected (nor made available) by the State of Idaho. As a result, these are estimated values and are likely not 100% correct. The formula developed to determine the Estimated Sales Tax Contribution values (seen above) utilizes city populations, their retail trade data, their estimated 6% retail trade sales tax contribution, and their retail trade per capita from 2017 and 2020 to model for 2022.
