CHOOSE Act ESAs in Alabama's private schools

The bars represent the proportion of eligible students who were in the type of school listed on the left during the 2024-25 school year who have activated their ESA for the 2025-26 school year in a private school.

For example, of the 3,111 students who were in public school last year and qualified for an ESA, 1,802, or 58% are using their ESA to attend a private school this year while 1,309, or 42% remain unused.
