Private school enrollments, projections skyrocket

Before and including 2023, estimates for future K-12 student enrollment at Iowa nonpublic schools stayed well below 35,000. In the third school year with the Students First Act, both actual enrollment and the estimates surpassed 40,000 — a benchmark not seen since the 2000-01 school year.
