The latest "great deal or fair amount" reading, 34%, is from a September 1-16, 2022, poll. and is the second lowest behind a 32% reading in 2016. The graph also shows the percentages of Americans with not very much trust and none at all. Currently, 28% have not very much and 38% have none at all. This is the first time in the trend that the percentage with no trust at all is greater than the combined great deal and fair amount readings.
