Neighborhoods Where Property Assessments Have Increased the Most

An Inquirer analysis of new property assessments released by the city shows that low-income neighborhoods near gentrifying areas saw the sharpest jumps in valuations. For example, the median assessment of single-family residential properties in Kensington increased by 15% from 2025 to 2027 — the highest in the city —  compared with a 3% increase citywide.
