Nursing Home Deaths Make Up Growing Share Of Louisiana's Death Toll From COVID-19

More than 2,300 people have died in Louisiana from the coronavirus since early March -- and residents of nursing homes are continuing to bear the brunt of this disease. More than 900 residents of nursing home and other long-term care facilities have died from COVID-19. Over time, the percentage of coronavirus deaths involving nursing home residents has risen steadily.
