Sick pay is as low as £3 per hour for a full time worker on statutory sick pay, with workers in deprived areas more likely to only receive SSP.

All estimates calculated by Loughborough University and the Safe Sick Pay campaign. Estimates are calculated using Census 2021 data and matching occupation fields and proportionate rates of sick pay. These were weighted and matched against census data on total job count, combined DWP/IPSOS MORI employer survey data
to give an estimate of the number and % of workers in each LA who don't have access to any enhanced sick pay.
