109th NE Legislature committee assignments (FINAL)

Nebraska lawmakers approved a final report Friday of committee assignments for the 2025 and 2026 legislative sessions. The plan roughly places senators by legislative caucus, from one of the state's three congressional districts (the 2nd Congressional District caucus has 17 members, the others have 16). Consideration included committee incumbency, senators' assignment preferences, caucus balance and partisan split. The Legislature is officially nonpartisan.

The Committee on Committees sets committee assignments for all state lawmakers, except the speaker. Membership on the Executive Board and Committee on Committees, as well as committee chairs, is decided on the first day of the legislative session by the full body. Lawmakers who have served on the listed committee over the past two years are marked with asterisks.
