Oklahoma was among the states with the lowest shares of automated renewals during the Medicaid unwinding period

From March 2023 through September 2024, only about 34% of Medicaid renewals in Oklahoma were done through automated "ex parte" data checks to determine eligibility. Many other states completed far more of their renewals this way, which can reduce burden on enrollees.
