UK goods import-export gap has widened post-Brexit
The UK's imports and exports of goods (excluding services) both took a dip in 2020 and 2021, with Covid and Brexit both playing a part. Though trade recovered in 2022, the gap between imported goods and exported goods has grown.
Figures are for UK exports and imports of goods only, seasonally adjusted, in current prices (£) as of October 2024. All figures are to year-end; *2024 figures are for 12 months to October.
