A small multiples area chart from the Institute for Government of the percentage change in primary school pupil numbers since 2018–19, by region, where all regions have seen a fall in enrolment. London records the steepest decline, down 8.1% by 2024–25, followed by the South West (–4.4%) and North East (–4.3%).
