How Biden Got to 270 Electoral Votes

With the states (and Washington, D.C.) arranged by Joe Biden’s share of the two-party vote, Pennsylvania isn’t the tipping-point state.

Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes put Biden at 269, just shy of the 270 votes needed to win the Electoral College. It was Wisconsin that was the pivotal state giving Biden the victory.

One of Maine’s four electoral votes will actually go to Trump; it’s left in here for simplicity, since it is canceled out by one of Nebraska’s electoral votes going to Biden.
