Access to opioid treatment limited in half of Minnesota counties

Doctors need a waiver from the federal government to prescribe buprenorphine, a drug used to treat opioid addiction. In 2018, there were no doctors with waivers in 43 of the state's 87 counties, according to federal data. Hover over a county to see the number of licensed providers there.
