There has never been a leachate leak at Waimanalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill but Erwin Kawata, head of BWS's water quality division, presented an analysis of contaminants at Waimanalo Gulch versus freshwater from BWS wells to demonstrate the potential impact of a leachate leak.
