Young Americans used to trust the news least, but now they trust it most

In 2026, trust fell or held in every age group, hitting a record national low of 25%. Since 2015, 18–24s are the only group whose trust rose (29 → 33); every other cohort declined. 'Trust' = general trust in news, distinct from trust in the news you personally use
