Having insulation helps, but is not sufficient protection

Efforts to reduce energy costs often focus on adding insulation and improving window quality. But nearly 1 in 4 households that rated their home as "well insulated" or that reported having double-pane or triple-pane windows still had trouble affording energy costs in 2024.
