Tourists Are Back, But What About Jobs?

In March 2021, Hawaii hosted approximately 135,000 visitors per day, even more than March 2020, when Hawaii's tourism industry was just starting to be battered by COVID-19 and Gov. David Ige's 14-day quarantine for arriving passengers, which he imposed on March 21. Tourists are returning to the islands. But tourism jobs are slower to bounce back.
