Politicians voting in favor of House Bill 1100 received on average more than six times as much campaign money from the oil and gas industry in 2018 than those voting against. This chart shows the top 10 corporate contributors.
Company names refer to corporate PACs and have been normalized by the National Institute for Money in State Politics (NIMSP). Industry affiliations are also recorded by NIMSP. Approximately one third of contributions by value to politicians voting on HB1100 came from donors without a clear industry affiliation, while some representatives received no recorded oil and gas contributions.
