NC applications for FEMA buyout program still pending

Applications for FEMA's Hazard Grant Mitigation Program dating back to February are still under consideration by the agency. State officials have requested an update on the program, which allows the government to buy out damaged or flooded properties that cannot easily be rebuilt.
