N.H. Is The Only State in New England That Doesn't Ban Source of Income Discrimination

Source of income discrimination is illegal in 20 states, though some laws don't fully cover discrimination against people using housing vouchers or have been otherwise weakened by the courts, according to the Poverty and Race Research Action Council. In some places without statewide bans, individual counties or cities have taken their own steps to restrict the practice.

The Poverty and Race Research Action Council says Maine and Minnesota's bans have been "weakened by court interpretation," while Delaware's offers only "limited protection for housing vouchers." Wisconsin's statewide ban also excludes housing vouchers, but some localities have their own restrictions.
