Percent of students testing proficient in Colorado Springs

When Miles took over Harrison 2 school district in Colorado Springs in 2006, students were testing* at slightly below the rest of the state math tests and five percentage points below the state on readings tests. By the end of his tenure, students were testing at the same level or higher than the rest of the state on both tests.

Notes about the data:
In the 2011-12 school year, the state switched from the Colorado Student Assessment Program (CSAP) test for math and reading to a transitional test called the Transitional Colorado Assessment Program (TCAP)

*Testing data included all students tested in grades 3-10.
