The U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Delaney Hall facility in Newark, N.J., is a privately operated center that has held as many as 1,000 detainees since opening in 2025. The estimated detainee population shown below is an estimate based on average daily population figures released by ICE, based on a methodology developed by immigration researchers Adam Sawyer and Austin Kocher.
