GCC State-Owned Sovereign Wealth Funds
Measured using Assets Under Management (AUM), the total market value of investments a financial institution manages on behalf of its clients.

Data is the latest reported figures, sourced from Global SWF, company annual results, and press releases (all current as of April 2026). Includes only fully state-owned or state-controlled entities. Excludes private royal wealth, family offices, and quasi-private holdings.
ADQ ($263B) was folded into L’imad Holding in January 2026 under Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed; figures shown reflect ADQ’s pre-merger AUM.
MGX is a newer AI-focused vehicle (founded March 2024) targeting $100B AUM; current deployed/committed capital is ~$30–50B and is partially funded by Mubadala. It is included separately to avoid major double-counting but some overlap exists.
Sanabil Investments (~$70B reported) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PIF and is included within PIF’s reported AUM. It is not shown separately to avoid double-counting.
EIA is the UAE’s only federal SWF; AUM is not publicly disclosed but its known holdings (stakes in Etisalat, du, Emirates Post) suggest a portfolio in the tens of billions.
Bloomberg reported in December 2025 that Abu Dhabi’s sovereign vehicles collectively manage “well over $2 trillion”—the $2T figure shown for the UAE is consistent with that estimate (Abu Dhabi alone) plus Dubai’s ICD.
Saudi Arabia’s Hassana Investment Company is technically a state pension fund manager, not a SWF. It’s included because it’s fully state-owned and operates as a major institutional investor (top-ten global pension fund).
